Dickinson, Alexander


Alexander Dickinson, MEng, PhD, CEng, MIMechE, has an academic position at the University of Southampton lecturing engineering design and computing, and holds a UK Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellowship entitled ‘Developing, Testing and Fitting the Next Generation of Prosthetic Limbs’ (RF/130).


Herr, Hugh
Organization: BionX Medical Technologies


Hugh Herr, PhD, currently serves as Associate Professor, Media Arts and Sciences, Associate Professor, Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology. Dr. Herr directs the Biomechatronics group at The MIT Media Lab.


Lee, Peter


Peter Lee, PhD, BEng (Hon), is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Melbourne. Dr. Lee obtained his PhD in Bioengineering at the University of Strathclyde, UK. He currently leads the Cell and Tissue Biomechanics Laboratory.


Schneider, Urs


Urs Schneider, MD, PhD, is director of the medical and biotech section at Fraunhofer IPA in Stuttgart and his own highly interdisciplinary Biomechatronics department. He also serves as head of the Human Technology Interaction department at IFF, University of Stuttgart and teaches medical device mechatronics at Stuttgart University.
