Description:
In this informative session, we will explore the breadth and depth of the American diabetes epidemic and its devastating effect on our patients’ feet and the impact on their quality of life. The presenters will discuss up-to-date statistics, trends, and forecasts. We will review current thinking on prevention and treatment of diabetic foot complications including ulcerations, Charcot arthopathy, and amputations; as well as new modalities and techniques on the horizon. We will close the session with creative conservative strategies to obviate the need for repeated surgical intervention for patients who are poor surgical candidates. View Course Preview....
