Description:Delays in surgical wound healing can lead to an even more devastating stress with the patient's continued inability to perform their Activities of Daily Living and further delays rehabilitation and recovery. We will learn about microangiopathy and peripheral neuropathy and its role in wound healing. In addition, we will address the importance of skin temperature, pressure points and skin tensile strength in surgical wound healing.
