Rick's journey to working in the orthopedic industry began in 1980 when he injured his knee playing basketball during his freshman year of college. He was fit with a Lenox Hill brace, which was the first ACL brace marketed in the USA. After college, Rick worked in hospital administration, with roles that included communications, marketing, physician relations and fundraising.
