CMD Flight Solutions has an approved AML STC covering many Part 25 aircraft outfitted with Rockwell Collins Pro Line 4 and Pro Line 21 avionics, and other common avionics systems, that requires adding the Rockwell Collins TDR-94/94D Mode S transponder. Using the GPS-4000S or Universal Avionics UNS-1(-) FMS WAAS as the approved position source, an ADS-B Fail annunciator in the cockpit avoids updates to the integrated EFIS.
Part 25 aircraft covered by the AML STC include multiple models from:

  • Airbus
  • Boeing
  • Bombardier
  • Cessna
  • Dassault Falcon Jet
  • Fokker
  • Gulfstream
  • Hawker Beechcraft
  • Israel Aircraft Industries
  • Learjet
  • Lockheed/Martin
  • Sabreliner
  • Short Brothers PLC

A Part 23 AML STC is pending for multiple models from:

  • Cessna CJ Family
  • Dornier
  • Hawker Beechcraft
  • M7 Aerospace Swearingen-Fairchild
  • Piaggio
  • Pilatus

More information is available online.

As an option under CMD’s AML STC, some owners of some aircraft can opt to install the Universal Avionics SBAS-Flight Management System (FMS), in addition to TDR-94(D) transponders. In addition to ADS-B, this upgrade also adds controller-pilot data link communications (CPDLC) capability and Localizer Performance with Vertical Guidance (LPV) navigation capability. For more information on this upgrade option, contact Universal Avionics online.
